SAM and the Turkish Embassy in Prague organized a panel on “Turkish Foreign Policy”. The event was held at the Residence of the Turkish Ambassador and was attended by Czech Foreign Ministry officials, diplomats and representatives of NGO’s, think tanks and universities.

SAM Chairman Dr. Ufuk Ulutaş, SETA Strategic Research Director Assoc. Dr. Hasan Basri Yalçın and SETA Brussels Coordinator and European Research Director Mr. Enes Bayraklı were the speakers of the panel, where Turkey’s candidacy for EU membership, Cyprus issue, energy reserves in Eastern Mediterranean, Peace Spring Operation, crisis in Syria, July 15 terrorist coup attempt, terrorist organizations (PKK, DAESH and FETO), Turkey’s relations with Turkic countries, NATO and the future of the EU were discussed.

SAM delegation’s Prague programme also included separate meetings with the Institute of International Relations Prague-IIR and Institute for Politics and Society to explore inter-institutional cooperation opportunities and discuss foreign policy issues of common interest.
