Our Center together with Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) organized a roundtable meeting entitled “Turkey-India Relations: Redefining Relations in a Changing World” in Ankara, on 7th March, 2018. This was the first ICWA-SAM dialogue which actually goes back a Memorandum signed in New Delhi in 2010.
The meeting was started with the welcoming remarks by Prof. Mesut Özcan on behalf of SAM, and by Shri Ajaneesh Kumar, Deputy Director General of ICWA.
During the fruitful meeting, Turkey-India bilateral relations, latest regional developments especially in the Middle East and Asia and Turkey’s NATO and EU perspective were some main topics for discussion.
To further reinitiated dialogue and cooperation between ICWA and SAM, it was agreed to hold this sort of activities annually.
The ICWA delegation together with MFA officials of Turkey also had a study trip to Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETA) and hold further deliberations on current developments in our region.
