A panel entitled “Debating Africa in the 21st Century and Turkey” was conducted under the auspices of Foreign Ministry of Turkey, Center for Strategic Research (SAM), Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETA) and Institute for Strategic Thinking (SDE) with the participation of about more than 200 people from media, civil society, think-thanks, academia and diplomatic corps in Ankara on 19th January 2015.

The panel presented a floor for fruitful analyses and discussions on international relations, economic and demographic figures, inter-continental collaboration and competency spheres, opportunities and challenges of African continent. Moreover, the past and present level of relations between Turkey and Africa, Turkey's opening policies to Africa were put forward by pioneers witnessing these policies and prominent figures carrying out fieldwork.

The participants shared their ideas and suggestions, and responded to various questions from the audience during the Q&A sessions.
