SAM Talks hosted Prof. Dr. Necmi Karul, from Istanbul University, also Member of the Göbekli Tepe Scientific Coordination Committee in collaboration with the Directorate General for Overseas Promotion and Cultural Affairs of MFA.

Göbekli Tepe, of UNESCO World Heritage List, is one of the most impressive prehistoric megalithic monuments in the world on account of its great antiquity (10th and 9th millennia BC; making it some 6000 years older than Stonehenge). During his presentation titled “The Origins of Sedentariness in Anatolia - The Last Hunter Communities and Göbekli Tepe”, Prof. Karul set out audience on a long journey throughout the human history.
