Summer School 2011
As a completely new initiative, SAM organized the first summer school in July 2011 for young students interested in foreign policy and diplomacy to inform them about the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the profession. A limited number of outstanding sophomore and junior students, selected from among a high number of applicants based on their academic record and essays in foreign policy, attended lectures by our experienced diplomats from within the Ministry and academics at SAM. Successful participants received SAM Summer School Certificates.
The SAM Summer School, which turned out to be a fruitful experience for the students, will be institutionalized and serve as a tool for public diplomacy for the Ministry. The SAM Summer School has an official Twitter account (@SAMYazOkulu) which is active during the lectures.
