SAM has organized a Symposium entitled “Contribution of NATO Enlargement to the Euro-Atlantic and International Security” in partnership with Romanian Embassy on 1 July 2014 in Ankara.
The Symposium was attended by Ambassador H.E. Ahmet Muhtar Gün, Deputy Undersecretary of MFA, Prof. Gülnur Aybet, Head of International Relations Department of Özyeğin University, Prof. Tarık Oğuzlu, International Antalya University, as well as Ambassadors of Romania, United Kingdom, Poland, Bosnia&Herzegovina, Croatia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Georgia.
Symposium has provided a candid platform for exchanging views among the highest representatives of several NATO members in Turkey. As candidate countries to the NATO, Ambassadors of Georgia and BiH were also given the floor and conveyed their gratitudes to NATO for supporting them on their membership prospects in their respective speeches.
