SAM participated to a closed meeting which was organised by TESEV Foreign Policy Programme in cooperation with Stockholm University Institute for Turkish Studies (SUITS) entitled “Turkey-EU Relations in the light of Recent Developments in Middle East and North Africa” in Stockholm on 9 December 2013.

During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Mesut Özcan, Chairman of SAM, Assoc. Prof. Şaban Kardaş, Advisor to Diplomacy Academy and Ufuk Ulutaş, Foreign Policy Director at SETA made presentations.

The workshop has provided an impartial platform conducive to exchange of views among participants by gathering academics, foreign policy experts and bureaucrats from Turkey, Sweden, UK and EU. Participants have discussed new political and security dynamics in the Middle East and Turkey-EU relations within the context of Chatham House rules.
