Dr. Can Kasapoğlu
Dr. Can Kasapoğlu received his doctorate from the Military Academies Strategic Research Institute and his master's degree from the Military Academy Defense Sciences Institute. Kasapoğlu is the director of EDAM's Security and Defense Research Program.He also worked as an Eisenhower Fellow at the NATO Defense College in Rome and was an academic researcher at the NATO Cyber Defense Center of Excellence in Tallinn. Specializing in defense issues and open-source intelligence, Dr. Can Kasapoğlu worked in leading think-tanks in the field of security policies such as FRS in France, BESA Center in Israel and SWP in Germany. Apart from his duties in Edam, Dr. Kasapoğlu currently continues his work with the title of 'Eurasia Region Military Analyst' at the Jamestown Foundation, one of the leading US think tanks in the field of Russia and the former Soviet geography. He is also the editor of the Turkish Defense Review Journal, published periodically by the Turkish Heritage Organization. Dr. Can Kasapoğlu prepared briefings at various NATO organizations and gave seminars at the Baltic Defense College Command High Command Course. Dr. Kasapoğlu has published for many think tanks such as the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Istituto Affari Internazionali, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, RUSI; He has made evaluations for many media organizations such as the Washington Post, the New York Times, Al Jazeera, TRT World, BBC, France 24, Deutsche Welle. He writes regular political-military analysis for Anadolu Agency.
