VIII. İstanbul Conference on Mediation
The 8th İstanbul Mediation Conference was convened on 10 March 2022 with the theme of: “Spotlight on Mediation in a Changing Peace Landscape” under the auspices of H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.
VII. İstanbul Conference on Mediation
The Seventh İstanbul Mediation Conference was convened on 17 September 2020 with the theme of “Peace Mediation in the New Normal”. Following the opening remarks by Ambassador Sedat Önal, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the conference featured the UN Secretary General H.E. Mr. Antonio Guterres, several special representatives/envoys of the UN Secretary General, seasoned mediators, scholars and experts in the field of peace mediation.
VI. İstanbul Conference on Mediation
The Sixth İstanbul Mediation Conference was convened on 31 October 2019 with the theme of “International Peace Mediation: Taking Stock and Looking Ahead” under the auspices of H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. The UN Secretary General (UNSG) H.E. Mr. Antonio Guterres delivered the opening speech of the Conference along with the Minister. The UNSG’s High-Level Advisory Board on Mediation (HLAB) held its fourth meeting on the margins of the Conference.
V. İstanbul Conference on Mediation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye organized the Fifth İstanbul Conference on Mediation on 30 November 2018 under the theme of “Enhancing the Practice of Mediation for Sustaining Peace”. The Conference was held under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.
IV. İstanbul Conference on Mediation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey organized the Fourth İstanbul Conference on Mediation on 30 June 2017 under the theme “Surge in Diplomacy, Action in Mediation”. The Conference was held under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
III. İstanbul Conference on Mediation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey organized the Third İstanbul Conference on Mediation on 26 and 27 June 2014. The theme of the Conference was “The Increasing Role of Regional Organizations in Mediation”.
II. İstanbul Conference on Mediation
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized the second Istanbul Conference on Mediation on 11 and 12 April 2013, the theme “Keys to Successful Mediation: Perspectives from Within”. The conference was held under the auspices of H.E. Ahmet Davutoğlu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized the first İstanbul Conference on Mediation on 24-25 February 2012 with the theme of “Enhancing Peace through Mediation: New Actors, Fresh Approaches, Bold Initiatives”. The conference was held under the auspices of H.E. Ahmet Davutoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.
