Dr. Suay Nilhan Açıkalın

Dr. Açıkalın is a distinguished scholar known for her contributions to the field of International Relations.  She completed her PhD studies at Middle East Technical University, Institute of Social Sciences between 2015-2020, specializing in International Relations. Between 2012 and 2015, he completed his master's degree at the Institute of Social Sciences at Middle East Technical University. In 2007, she started her academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University. Dr. Açıkalın served as the Deputy Director of the Institute at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University between 2021-2023. He also served as the Deputy Head of Department at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University in 2023.She has a diverse teaching portfolio including Turkey-European Union Relations, Turkish Foreign Policy, Institutional Structure of the European Union, International Relations of Local Governments, Migration, Refugees and Climate Change in International Security. She has also presented many articles and papers in national and international journals and symposia. She is currently a faculty member at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University.
