Prof. Dr. Oktay F. Tanrısever

He received his B.A. (1990) and M.A. (1992) degrees in International Relations from METU and his Ph.D. (2002) in Russian Politics from the University of London. He has served as Deputy Dean at METU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Head of the Department of Regional Studies, Head of the Department of International Relations and Head of the Department of Eurasian Studies at the Institute of Social Sciences. Since 2017, he has been the Chairman of the Energy Diplomacy Working Group of the World Energy Council Turkey National Committee. He is currently researching and lecturing on theories of international relations; regional security and peacebuilding in Eastern Europe, Eurasia and Asia; transnational security issues such as migration, terrorism and cyberspace; energy, water and environmental diplomacy and international negotiation.
