Prof. Dr. Tarık Oğuzlu

Prof. Dr. Tarık Oğuzlu started to work as a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul Aydın University as of 2022 and in 2023 he started to work as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science of the same university. Prof. Oğuzlu received his Associate Professorship and PhD degrees in International Relations from Bilkent University in 2008 and 2003, respectively. He received his first master's degree in the same field from Bilkent University in 1998 and his second master's degree from the London School of Economics in 2000 after winning the European Commission Jean Monnet scholarship in 1999. Having previously worked as a faculty member at Bilkent University (2004-2012) and Antalya Bilim University (2011-2020), Prof. Oğuzlu's areas of expertise include International Relations Theories, Security Studies, Foreign Policy Analysis, Turkish Foreign Policy, EU Foreign, Security and Defense Policies, American Foreign and Security Policies, Transatlantic Relations - NATO and Changing World Order. Prof. Oğuzlu, who has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in these areas of expertise, has started to serve as the Chair of the Academic Board of the Foreign Policy Institute as of March 2024.
