The Fall issue of our journal includes 1 book review and 11 articles. The issue begins with an article by İlter Turan on the book Turkey Between East and West: New Challenges for a Rising Regional Power. Ercan Özer advocates for a proactive approach by the EU in engaging with the Black Sea Economic Co-operation (BSEC) to foster economic development, enhance regional cooperation, and address common challenges and outlines several key points regarding this partnership. Mehmet Öğütçü investigates Turco-Chinese relations and mentions enormous changes that are taking place in East Asia and particularly in China. Alexander Kramaversky focuses on NATO enlargement and the Ukraine issue. He suggests that Ukraine should refrain from making official decisions regarding NATO enlargement since there is currently no agreement between the West and Russia on a new security system for Europe that satisfies both sides. She argues that creating free trade areas at a smaller, sub-regional level after gradual liberalization and using existing bilateral agreements is seen as a more practical option than establishing a customs union. Rauf Guseynov focuses on the ethnic dimension in the Caucasus, the role of Russia in the region and the unions and organizations of Caucasian nations in his article. Tansu Çiller discusses Turkey's foreign policy tradition, emphasizing its commitment to peace, stability, and cooperation in various regions. Additionally, it highlights Turkey's economic growth, attractiveness to foreign investment, and ongoing efforts to strengthen democracy and human rights. Arthur CYR examines the distinctive role of Turkey in American foreign policy, highlighting its reliability as an ally, its geopolitical and cultural significance, and its evolving relationships within NATO and the European Union. Gela Charkvıanı discusses Georgia's foreign policy, its place in the Transcaucasus, highlights the country's reliance on international support for survival and its efforts to integrate into regional organizations like the European Union. Tansuğ Bleda gives information about the importance of cooperation and integration in the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions, emphasizing Turkey's role in fostering economic and cultural ties in his piece.Turan Aydın explains Türkiye's rising economic capacity and its evolution as a significant player in the global economy. He highlights Turkey's GDP growth, export-oriented development strategy, and its role as a regional economic power.
