This volume of the Perceptions includes ten invaluable articles. First article belongs to Yücel Güçlü examine the role and potential of Türkiye as faith tourism destination with a rich historical background. This volume of the Perceptions continues with the joint statement on the meeting of the presidents of Türkiye, Bulgaria and Romania on 16-17 April 1998. İlter Turan interprets the security concerns in Mediterrenean for Turkish foreign policy in a more general way by linking the Mediterrenean with other neighboring regions like Balkans, Europe and Middle East. Günter Endruweit questions the cultural difference between Türkiye and European Union and taking up the issue from the perspective of integration of Türkiye to Europe. Gündüz Aybay and Nilüfer Oral presents legal view about the Türkiye’s authority to regulate passage of vessels through Turkish Straits. Moreover, Esra Hatipoğlu aims to reveal the process of democratization in Russia. Lastly, Alexander Rondeli analyzes the security threats in Caucasus from the perspective of Georgia.
