In this volume of the Perceptions, Bahadır Pehlivantürk attract attention to newly strengthening dialogue on international affairs between Türkiye and Japan. Secondly, Yutaka Takaoka analyzes the structure of resource mobilization for the Islamic State by focusing on its recruitment mechanism. Third article wrtitten by Haldun Yalçınkaya focuses on Türkiye’s fight against DAESH. Afterwards, K. Ali Akkemik questions whether Türkiye turn its face away from Japan to China and Korea by demonstrating the trade volumes between these countries. Bahadır Pehlivantürk shed light to changing foreign policy norms and national role conception of Japan which could be observed through its behaviour in international peacekeeping. Lasly, Syed Farooq Hasnat together with Zamurrad Awan look into potential of Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
