New Issue of Perceptions is Published
In this issue of Perceptions, which analyzes Turkish foreign policy and global developments, Perceptions presents an in-depth perspective on international relations with topics from different geographies. Ranging from the United States to Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina to Syria, the rich content provides readers with a comprehensive perspective on different aspects of world politics.
This issue of Perceptions, published twice a year in English, examines Turkey's strategic steps towards becoming a global actor from a regional power. The policies of the US and China in the Russian-Ukrainian War are evaluated in the context of “role theory”. In addition, identity and democratization efforts in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Turkey-Soviet Russia relations during the Cold War and how the US portrays Turkey were among the topics covered. This issue is also enriched with analyses of US foreign policy from the perspective of “progressivism”.
In the Book Reviews section, Tim Marshall's The Future of Geography and Merve Hazer Yiğit Uyar, Apak Kerem Altıntop and Yaşar Onay's Migration Studies: Eurasian Perspectives, edited by Merve Haze Yiğit Uyar, Apak Kerem Altıntop and Yaşar Onay, were evaluated in detail.
