Anatolian Roots Of The Present Day Civizilation

Summary

Today's European culture is a composite of all the qualities that have developed in constant interaction with the lands adjacent to the continent, such as the Anatolian peninsula. The autochthonous belief systems and cultures of Anatolia are among the founding values that contributed to the construction of what is known today as European culture. Christianity and Judaism coexisted and developed in a culture of co-existence with other belief systems, including Islam, on the Anatolian peninsula during their passage to the European continent. Therefore, Anatolia is one of the first emergence areas of the modern values adopted in Europe today. The academic e-book titled "Anatolian Traces in Modern Civilisation", organised in cooperation with the Embassy of Turkey in the Kingdom of Belgium and the faculty members of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, aims to contribute to this discussion.
